If you can ignore the constant singing and the "Southern twang" that seems to come and go, there’s a great movie hidden in here. The transformation of Snow is brilliantly handled, making you feel for a man you know you should hate. It’s a polished, interesting prequel that sits comfortably in the middle of the franchise. It’s a "yes" for the world-building, but maybe keep the remote handy to skip the bluegrass sessions.
