My first experience with an Indonesian film left me seriously impressed. The Elixir is a high-quality, engaging zombie flick that actually tries something new with its origin story. The visual style is sharp, and the effects are some of the best I've seen in the genre recently. It’s a fast-paced, fun ride that proves you don't need a massive Hollywood budget to make a great horror movie.
