I’m genuinely struggling to find something positive to say about this. I'll admit I'm not an expert on the Alien universe, but at what point do we admit that a two-hour-plus commitment with zero real payoff is just bad filmmaking? Also, please stop making Idris Elba do an American accent; it’s distracting and unnecessary. People ask if this movie gets better if you watch the rest of the series. Who knows? But I can tell you right now: I won’t be the one finding out.
