This movie is absolute peak 2006. It’s locked into that specific era of disaster blockbusters, and while it doesn’t offer anything particularly unique, the sheer charisma of the cast kept me anchored. Kurt Russell and Josh Lucas do a lot of the heavy lifting here, making me invested enough to actually care about their survival. It was a tough call, but for a "popcorn" flick, it hits the right notes.
